About the event
On May 24th, 1976, a blind tasting of French and Californian wines took place in Paris, pitting some of the most renowned wines of France against a group of relatively unknown California wines. To everyone's surprise, the California wines emerged victorious, shocking the wine world and forever changing the perception of American wines.

The Judgement of Paris was a true turning point in the wine industry, proving that high-quality wines could be produced outside of the traditional European wine regions. It put California on the wine map and helped to establish Napa Valley as one of the world's most prestigious wine regions.
Today, we continue to celebrate this iconic moment in wine history, and we raise a glass to the trailblazing winemakers who took part in the Judgement of Paris with this great tribute and wine tasting.
